On Monday, the websites of several major airlines were briefly down due to an issue with Google software that provide price and flight information for these websites.
Websites for United Airlines, Delta Air Lines and American Airlines showed error messages when users looked up flights Monday afternoon, but they were normally operating after about two hours.
A spokesman for Google had confirmed that the company was working on a fix for the issue.
Delta.com and the Fly Delta app are normally functioning after an issue this afternoon made it difficult for customers to buy flights on delta.com, the Fly Delta app and through our Reservations Call Center Delta said in a statement. The issue was caused by the failure of technology provided by Google to Delta and multiple airlines. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this.
