Nigeria to borrow 722 bn naira for security spending

ABUJA, June 9 - Nigeria plans to borrow 722.53 billion naira from the capital markets for additional security spending, Finance Minister Zainab Ahmed said on Wednesday.

As part of Nigeria's security spending, the World Bank also agreed to allow the government to supplement existing loans of 39.58 billion naira, she told reporters after a Cabinet Meeting.

The Cabinet also approved an allocation of 83.56 billion naira for the purchase and deployment of 30 million doses of the Johnson Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.

Nigeria hopes to receive 70 million doses of Johnson Johnson shots from the African Union, but purchasing the doses was required for a supplementary budget because no provision for vaccinations was made in the 2021 Finance Bill adopted in December. I must admit that I can 't seem or articulate myself, regardless of what you have... I am so tired of me. I want to get into a peaceful person.
