Haryana Government Announces Initiatives for Education and Development in Mewat Region

The Haryana Chief Minister announced financial assistance for gurukuls and madrasas that adopt modern education through the Haryana School Education Board. The assistance ranges from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 7 lakh per year, depending on the number of students enrolled.

During a state-level function, the Chief Minister also distributed job offers to 1,504 local youth for teaching positions under the Haryana Kaushal Rojgar Nigam.

The Chief Minister criticized previous governments for neglecting the welfare of the Mewat region and using it solely as a vote bank. He emphasized the current government's commitment to equitable development across the state, including Mewat.

Despite the lack of political advantage in Mewat, the Chief Minister stated that he has pursued the same level of development initiatives there as in his own constituency. He highlighted his frequent visits to the region and the significant developmental works undertaken in the past nine years, amounting to approximately Rs 5,000 crore.

The Chief Minister also announced the formation of a five-member committee to oversee development projects in the region. The committee will be chaired by former MLA and state Waqf Board Chairman Zakir Hussain.

Among the specific announcements made by the Chief Minister were the establishment of 18 tube wells, a veterinary polyclinic, micro projects for irrigation and solar energy, beautification and restoration of ponds, e-libraries, and additional sections for the Nuh Secretariat and PWD Guest House.
