White Console, Enhanced Components, and Ecosystem Expansion

Leaked images have surfaced online, showcasing a white iteration of the Xbox Series X. Notably, this version appears to lack a disc drive, resembling the white Xbox Series S. Reports indicate that it may feature enhanced components, such as an upgraded heatsink.

The Verge has corroborated the authenticity of the images by comparing them to internal documents detailing the console's specifications. Industry insider Brad Sams has also contributed to the speculation, suggesting that the white Xbox Series X will retain the same design as its black counterpart, implying no significant internal modifications.

The expected release date for the white Xbox Series X is anticipated to fall within June or July, with a potential price point lower than the standard black model.

Previously, leaks hinted at Microsoft's plans for a mid-generation refresh of both the Series S and X consoles, codenamed Ellewood and Brooklin, which were rumored to be digital-only versions. However, it appears that these plans have evolved, with the white Series X potentially serving as part of this refresh, altering the previously anticipated timeline.

Additionally, there are rumors of Microsoft developing an Xbox handheld device, with Xbox head Phil Spencer recently discussing his vision for an ideal handheld. Furthermore, Microsoft has confirmed that they are working on a next-generation console.
